PRP String Orchestra consists of 2 performing groups:
Intermediate and Advanced Orchestras. Throughout the school year, all orchestra students have the opportunity to participate in All-County and All-State Festival events, Solo and Ensemble Competitions, as well as various other performance events. The Advanced Orchestra competes in the Kentucky Music Educators Association Orchestra Festival in the spring. The knowledge and experience a student gains during their participation in orchestra is monumental, and lays a foundation for a lifetime of skills and rewards, such as self-discipline and a deep understanding and appreciation of orchestral music along with a historical and structural perspective.
